Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jumbo” Skeleton: Gold Engraving The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jumbo” ultra-thin skeleton watch (model: 16204) expands the series with a new skeleton model in a gold case. The current generation (on the occasion of the Royal Oak's 50th anniversary), comes in two Squelette models in stainless steel or rose gold. Next is the gold case. While the movement of its rose gold predecessor was black, this timepiece has the same color as the case, creating a harmonious whole.

The case is 39 mm in diameter and remains true to the iconic 1972 design. At the same time, the height of only 8.1 mm ensures an elegant appearance and a smooth transition to the bracelet. The 18-karat material's bold gold tones appear on alternating satin and polished surfaces. Together with the same-colored bridges of the movement, they form a harmonious whole, only highlighted by the pink jewels. On the back, the reverse side of the movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. Waterproof depth is 50 meters.

It is designed to fit perfectly into the "Jumbo" housing and is only 2.7mm high. Still, it offers 57 hours of power autonomy and operates at 4 Hz. Additionally, the balance's counterweights are integrated into the wheels to prevent air friction. The movement is subtly revealed from both sides. Engineers plan the location and geometry of each part so they can be manufactured using a CNC process. Finishing is done with specialty tires, snailing and polished chamfers, and a total of 247 polished V-angles.
